I look forward to working with each of you to continue the good work our association has done for the short term lending industry in our state.
In 2016 your efforts as an association led to the passage of The Mississippi Credit Availability Act, giving business owners an additional product to make available to citizens who need our services. More and more FSCM members are rolling out the MS Credit Availability Act product and seeing positive results. We have an annual FSCM Convention every August where you can come and hear from other members how this new product is working for them.
Staying abreast of potential legislation that could harm our industry is one of the major benefits of FSCM membership. Over the years we have been able to fight off some major threats and able to maintain what many believe the best short term lending laws in the country. Our ability to fight off attacks from groups who do not understand our industry has largely been because of a strong association membership representing hundreds of storefronts.
If your level of commitment to your business is the same as the association’s is to our industry, you need to be a part of the FSCM. It is the single most important thing you can do for the future success of your business.
